A Town That Grew Up in the 1970s and 1980s

Lilburn started as a railroad stop on the Seaboard Air Line Railway and was incorporated in 1910. For decades it stayed tiny. Then Atlanta's suburbs reached it: in 1960 Lilburn had just over 750 residents, and by 1990 it had more than 9,000.
